Can't get enough of a good thing... LAKE POWELL

So we went to Lake Powell again and we camped .... last time I am doing that 

I got a full body exfoliation from all the sand on my air mattress. 

The girls had a great time they are real troopers. Me on the other hand will be staying either in a motel or house boat. 

Everyone else had a house boat in the cove we were in and we looked like white trash when our tents blew over and the canopies went flying with every gust of wind... needless to say it was an adventure. 

We caught frogs 

ok I caught frogs Brandan wouldn't touch them.... We would go "frog hunting" as Addie called it every night and put our frogs in a bucket and hopped that they didn't hop out. I like frogs but not enough to sleep with them.

Brandan's grandma came with us (she is the one in the cute black hat) she has never been to lake powell and she did everything from tubing to sleeping in a blown over tent to squatting out doors. ( oh the joys of being a girl.)

We both cut our hair short.... It took me going back 3 times

to finally go this short but I love it. Addie loves that she doesn't get 

tangles after sleeping. 

We both are happy campers!!

she goes down the hydrotube without a life jacket and all by herself.

They grow up so fast.

Here kitty, kitty

so last night about 10pm we heard this meowing at our garage door. We were like what is that noise so we went out in the garage and there was this little kitty. We had fun playing with it Kate wouldn't let it down. Then we told her that it needed to go find its mom and we went inside and then it came to the door and started meowing again. Kate got this really sad look on her face and said "mom its crying please let me hold it" I was like oh no here we go. we left it outside all night and this morning its gone. I have to admit I was kinda disappointed I thought it would just adopt us but I guess not. It was fun while it lasted.

There were these sand dunes right above where we camped. We decided to climb it. This was worse than slither in spin class.
We all made it to the top of the hill and took a picture of all of us including Lucy our doggy who loved being at the lake; by the time we left she was swimming out to the boat.

When we pitched our tent the water was at least 5-10 feet away from our tent. When we woke up we had beach front property. Then we left to wakeboard and the entire floor of the canopy was under water. Needless to say that Lake Powell is on the rise.

For memorial day we went to Lake Powell with our friends Ashley and Nate Lund and their kids. We camped on the beach, the kids were great. The little blonde boy is Bradyn Lund and of course Addie and Kate
