Brandan's 29th Birthday!!

Brandan's birthday was on Sunday November 8th.

That Saturday I decided to surprise him with an early birthday present.

A Hot Air Balloon Ride.

We got up really early on saturday morning and he said to me if you are getting me up this early to go to breakfast I am going to pissed. I said no come get dressed in something warm.

We set off in Washington fields about 7 am.

This was down by the river. see the deer? Its right there in the middle of the picture.

The Balloonist dropped us down really close to the deer to scare them up. There were tons of them.

It was a perfect day for flying. The fall color were breath taking.

The Balloonist gave me bubbles to blow, he said if you look at the bubbles floating away you can see the entire reflection of the balloon in the bubble.

Look hard at the bubbles you can see the balloon in them.

We flew over the entire city. The Balloonist said that 1 out of 10 balloon rides go over the entire city of St.George.

It was amazing!

We definitely got the E ticket ride.

This is the airport. Planes were landing and taking off right below us. He said we had the right of way....I would hope since we had no way of steering.

Yes, thats right we were headed right for the road.

And of course we pretty much stopped traffic. I thought to myself I hope I don't have to bail out of this balloon in front of all these stopped cars watching us.

What happened was, he just kind of hovered us above the ground and his chase crew and people who had pulled off to the side of the road came out to pull us over to the side of the road where we landed.

What an adventure!

And so worth every penny.

Here we are safely on the ground. I was like a little mini vacation.

I loved it. I think Brandan did too.

Halloween!

Halloween came quick this year as did everything else.

I didn't think much about what to put Emmett in

so he got in his cute Halloween Jammies and a pumpkin beanie and he was set.

He looked so dang cute I couldn't get over it.

We gave him a sucker and he was all smiles.

I bought this mask and put it on his pumpkin to decorate it.

These are the pumpkins the girls painted.

They wanted to paint them this year so thats what we did.

This is how we decorated our trunk for our ward Trunk or Treat.

I cut some cardboard into the shape of a coffin and spray painted it black

then I couldn't figure out what to write on the top of it.

So anyone who knows me knows that this is so me.

I wrote " Here Lies Your MOM"

yeah, I know I am so predictable.

Brandan hid underneath the cardboard and when the kids would come to get candy

I would say "here is your candy right here on the bumper come and get it"

then when they would come and get it Brandan would pop out at them with this

ugly mask on and scare them.

We scared some kids pretty bad. It was so fun!

I know I am totally mean but it was FUN!!

Addie wanted a turn to pop out....not as scary unless you are afraid of Fairies.

While I was out on a "Girls Night" Kate got in trouble and Brandan sent Kate to "time out" on the way there she grabbed the scissors and gave herself an amazing Mullett. I got a text about it and thought well how bad could it be. The next day was the Primary Program so I thought that I would just pull it up and no one would know. The next morning she came into tell me and I started laughing so hard I was crying. I told her I was crying because all her beautiful curls were gone. When Addie saw it she said "oh mom its not that bad."

It desperately needed to be fixed that day before church.

Yeah....

So I called a good friend who happens to be my hairdresser

and she told me to come on over and get it fixed before church.

She is such a great friend. Thanks Angie!!
